Edd Mercado

Executive Assistant

I grew up in the Philippines, specifically in Mulanay Quezon Province where I also studied until High school then I moved in the city after that and never returned. Raised on intuition, with quiet grit and a habit of observing before acting. I’m super independent, self sustaining and thrive even in the hardest situations! I studied a year of Accounting and shifted to Hospitality Management during my college years but focused on freelancing and online jobs after realizing I’m not built for Philippines toxic corporate set-up. Most of what I know came from experience. Supporting start-up companies, CEOs / founders, managing chaos, and being the person who just gets it done. I’m that guy who’s always behind the curtain, keeping the machine running smoothly. Outside of work, I’m big on writing, psychology, deep conversations, Stoic philosophy, overanalyzing human behavior (by choice), and turning pain into something creative. Also: good music, sharp words, and moments of silence, those hit different.

“I’ve supported CEOs for years, across different countries and industries, from administration to operations. I specialize in making leaders’ lives easier, more organized, and more efficient. I do not just check boxes, I anticipate, I connect dots, and I move fast without needing to be chased.

I became the EA of these 2 CEOs: Josh Nelson of the Seven Figure Agency (3 years), and Karan Jain of NayaOne (1 yr+) just to name a few.”

My Core Values:

“Self-awareness. Loyalty. Harmony.
I don’t like conflict especially the loud, pointless kind. I’d rather keep the peace than win an argument that leads nowhere. I believe in understanding people, staying grounded, and doing my part even if no one’s watching.”

“There is always beauty in every tragedy.
It’s a principle I live by, turn the pain into power

Same as. . .

“”There’s always a reason behind how people act. A little understanding goes a long way.

Both remind me to stay grounded, compassionate, and clear-headed, even when things get messy.”

Clinic owners juggle too much, it gets messy fast. My role is to take stuff off their plate, bring order to the chaos, and make sure nothing slips through. So they can focus on growing, not just surviving. (I based on my role LOL, cos I’m not super savvy in physical therapy but I know what I need to do as an EA)

I support Joey most of the time and the rest of the team, anything that touches sales, operations, client retention, and hiring. I connect the right dots, prep the right context, and make sure the follow-through is always clean and clear. My specialty? Making sure nothing falls through the cracks and if it does, I catch it before anyone notices (ideally but I messes up too LOL) but I don’t let it destroy my composure. I wear a lot of hats and I like it. I prefer it. I’m built for it.

Messy communication. Disorganization. Gaps that no one notices until it’s too late. I like cleaning up what others overlook not just the surface-level stuff, but the patterns behind it. When people say I forgot,I usually don’t because I pay attention. I enjoy solving the human problems under the operational ones, the kind that require you to read between the lines, understand how people move, and keep things running without needing the spotlight. (cos I get too shy when put into the spotlight, you’ll notice when I’m shy, I TEND TO SAY A LOT! weird right? but you’ll feel it cos I say a lot of most of it don’t make any sense at all, I think it’s my coping mechanism when put in the spotlight HAHA)

The pace keeps me sharp I like it! There’s always new things to look forward to, it doesn’t get boring. The trust makes me feel seen. And the work actually means something. We’re building something real, and I get to be part of it in my own “quiet” but “solid” way.
