Dr. Robbie Woelkers

Born in Dunmore, Pennsylvania, a small town close to Scranton (famously known from The Office), I spent my formative years exploring the beauty of the region and developing a passion for helping others. After graduating from Dunmore High School, I headed to Penn State University with aspirations of becoming a meteorologist. However, I soon realized that my talents lay elsewhere, and I switched my major to kinesiology. During my time at Penn State, I met Jessica, who would later become my wife. Her unwavering support helped me through the challenges of academia and life. After earning my bachelor’s degree in 2009, I continued my education at Chatham University, where I pursued and obtained a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Armed with my new qualifications, Jessica and I relocated to Northern Virginia, where I co-owned and operated three outpatient physical therapy clinics. This experience taught me the importance of business acumen and leadership in a healthcare setting. In 2021, I decided to change course and sold my shares in the clinics. Currently, I am a full-time coach and consultant for physical therapy and chiropractic practice owners. My unique blend of clinical expertise and business knowledge allows me to provide valuable insights and guidance to my clients. I am committed to helping them optimize their practices, improve patient outcomes, and foster a positive work environment for their staff. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife (jess), and my two little girls Hartley and Stella.

I have a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, I was a Physical Therapist at Haymarket Physical Therapy from 2012-2015, and a Physical Therapist at Livin Rite Home Health from 2014-2020. I was Co-Owner of Haymarket Physical Therapy from 2015-2021, Co-Owner of Next Level Physical Therapy from 2016-2021, and currently Co-Owner of Rehab CEOs 2021-Present.

As a coach and consultant for physical therapy and chiropractic practice owners, my primary responsibility is to develop and refine coaching frameworks that are both effective and proven. I draw upon my experience and expertise to create strategies and methodologies that address the unique challenges faced by clinic owners, ensuring that our solutions are practical and results-oriented. Once we begin to see client success, I work diligently to share these triumphs with all of our clinic owners, showcasing the strategies and approaches that have proven to be effective. This not only encourages a collaborative learning environment but also keeps our clients informed and up-to-date on best practices in the industry. My specialization lies in combining clinical expertise with business acumen, enabling me to provide comprehensive guidance to practice owners. By focusing on areas such as leadership development, operations management, and marketing strategies, I help my clients optimize their practices, improve patient outcomes, and foster a positive work environment for their staff.

One significant issue that clinic owners often face, which I personally struggled with during my time as an owner, is becoming the person their team needs them to be. This challenge can affect various aspects of the business, such as staff morale, patient outcomes, and overall practice success. As a coach and consultant, I am deeply committed to helping clinic owners understand that success is not just about possessing the right resources or performing specific actions. Instead, it is about becoming the “Rehab CEO” – a leader who can effectively manage and inspire their team, cultivate a positive work environment, and make strategic decisions that drive the practice forward. By focusing on personal growth and leadership development, I aim to empower clinic owners to transform themselves and their practices. This holistic approach ensures that they are not only equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge but also embody the qualities of an exceptional leader, ultimately leading to more successful and thriving clinics.

I find great satisfaction in helping businesses set achievable targets and ensuring they are properly structured to reach those goals. This process involves analyzing a company’s current performance, identifying areas for improvement, and devising actionable strategies to facilitate growth and success. Working with physical therapy and chiropractic practice owners, I enjoy diving into the nuances of their businesses to understand their unique challenges and opportunities. This allows me to provide tailored solutions that address their specific needs and set them on the path to achieving their desired outcomes. By collaborating closely with clinic owners and their teams, I can help develop and implement performance metrics, streamline operations, enhance marketing efforts, and improve overall efficiency. I take pride in witnessing the positive impact of these changes on a practice’s success and seeing the transformation that occurs as they reach and surpass their targets.

One of the aspects I truly enjoy about working with Rehab CEOs and our clients is the strong sense of camaraderie and connection we share. It feels like working with an extended family, where we all genuinely care about one another and are invested in each other’s success. Together, we celebrate our victories, support one another through challenging times, and consistently lift each other up. This collaborative and nurturing environment enables us to work effectively as a team, driving us to achieve our common goals and “Get Sh*t Done.” The relationships I’ve built with our clients and colleagues at Rehab CEOs have been incredibly rewarding, and it’s gratifying to know that we’re all working towards a shared mission of helping clinic owners grow and thrive in their practices.

When I’m not working, I enjoy staying active and embracing my blue-collar roots by engaging in various outdoor activities. In my free time, you can often find me working in the yard, tending to my garden, or taking on DIY projects to improve my home. Physical fitness is important to me, so I also make time for regular workouts, whether it’s hitting the gym, going for a run, or participating in recreational sports. This not only helps me stay healthy, but also keeps my mind sharp and ready for the challenges of my professional life. Another one of my favorite pastimes is hiking, especially in the picturesque Shenandoah region. There’s something rejuvenating about immersing myself in nature and exploring the scenic trails, taking in the breathtaking views, and appreciating the tranquility that comes with being surrounded by the great outdoors.
